Philosophy

A book should fulfill its function to be read and looked at. Excessive embellishments should not distract; attention to detail should be meticulous. Size, material, grid, hierarchy, typography, color, and rhythm emerge from understanding the content. In this way a book is desirable and useful – beauty, clarity, character and substance form a perfect whole.
