Charlotte Garrett Currier has been a poet for over fifty years. For her eightieth birthday she wanted to make a book that would enhance but not overwhelm her poems. Charlotte’s poems are narrow and wide, short and long. A page proportion and type size that worked for one poem left others feeling ungrounded. Enclosing each poem in a suitable, custom frame solved this, fortifying the individual rhythms. The best way to experience this book is to hear Charlotte read from it in her emotive, sharp and witty voice.
